Fire Cider

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

Immunity booster for the cold, dreary days of winter.

Apple cider vinegar, raw & organic (contains "the mother")

1/2 cup grated fresh horseradish root

1/2 cup or more chopped onions

1/4 cup or more chopped garlic

1/4 cup or more grated ginger

Honey, to taste (after it's made)

Cayenne pepper, fresh or dried, to taste (after it's made)

Add herbs to a half gallon jar (64 oz) & add enough vinegar to cover the herbs by 3-4 inches. Seal the jar with a tight fitting lid. Place the jar in a warm spot and let it sit for 3-4 weeks. Shake jar daily to help give the mixture a boost.

After 3-4 weeks, strain out herbs & keep the liquid. Add heated honey & vinegar to taste. Fire Cider should be sweet, hot & spicy. Bottle it up & label it with the date. Fire Cider will keep for 2-3 months un-refrigerated if stored in a cool place. It's best to store in the refrigerator.

Take a small shot glass daily when feeling run down. If you feel a cold coming on, take teaspoons throughout the day to send your cold packin'!

Enjoy!
