Dark Chocolate Turtles
Nothing like easy to make homemade chocolates...

Makes approximately 20 chocolates
2 cups dark chocolate chips (at least 60% cacao)
20 pecan halves (toasted in maple syrup)
10 pitted dried dates (halved lengthwise)
Flakes sea salt for sprinkling
1. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
2. Place a teaspoon size drop of melted chocolate on a parchment lined baking sheet.
3. Top with 1 pecan & 1 date half, then top with another spoonful of chocolate.
4. Repeat with the remaining chocolate, pecans & dates.
5. Sprinkle with flaked salt & freeze until firm (about 10 minutes).
6. Enjoy!
* To toast pecans, spread them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper after drizzling them in maple syrup. Toast at 400 degrees until slightly browned (5 to 6 minutes). Remove & let cool.
